Camp food update

I figured that folks were making final prep for camp stuff and might find it helpful for an update.  

Pretty much each day, they will be eating sandwiches for lunch, so lunchmeat, cheese, PB&J and bread are all going to be needed. 

We will also need some veggies.  One of the things we want to do with this camp is also bring their attention to the type of fuel they are putting into their body.  Most people dont eat enough vegetables in their diet, and we have a lot of processed foods.  Even though the muffins and granola bars and all that are ok for snacking, I also want them to learn to incorporate real foods into their daily diet.  Baby carrots are a great, quick snack.  Peppers and cucumbers are also that crunchy snack type food.  Then of course there are vegetables for dinners.  Broccoli, green beans, salads with dark greens (like spinach mixes) are also great ways to increase that in their diet. 

For drinks, I would like to avoid sodas (though i am not an anti-soda person by any means).  I just think for this trip, they need to be aware of getting real hydration, so lots of water, jmilk, uice, and gatorade will be on the menu.
