Training Notes: When I say, "start slow" I mean "start slow"

Returning team members:  I hope that you are getting some good physical and mental rest, from the grind of the school year and the track season.  Next week, most of you could start reintroducing some runs into your schedule.

Newbies:  I hope that you have started to establish a little bit of a habit of getting out the door...and becoming friends with your running log. :)

For all team members:  Please believe me when I say that we need to start off with low mileage and intensity.  Just get out the door and get the legs used to being out on a run.  Enjoy the weather and the scenery.  Just find the enjoyment in running for the sake of running.

Just so you know I mean what I say, Here are my mileages from the past 10 weeks (13-13-18-25-29-38-37-45-44-hitting 50+ this week).

New folks, I do not intend on most of you seeing 50 miles in a week, so dont think this is what you need to do.  I have run for years now, where weeks have gotten up over 70 miles, which has taken years to develop.  WHAT I DO WANT YOU TO KNOW, is that from wherever you are, there you start.  Once we start meeting next week as a group, we will start to get a sense of what kind of plan to develop for you to grow stronger gradually.

Get in touch with me if you have any questions about anything that you might be doing.  See you all in a few days!!
