Running Links

  • Strava: Really great online social network for endurance athletes.  Upload GPS workouts from your watch or phone apps.  Keeps track of time, distance, splits, elevation change, even HR if you have a monitor.  Automatically tracks workouts in a training log that is very easy to use.  I highly recommend creating an account on this site.

  • IHSAA:  Access to physical forms, rules, regulations, links to NCAA eligibility information, and State Tourney info and results.

  • MapMyRun:  A great Google map-based tool that can pretty accurately figure distance covered.  Can be used to plan runs and/or determine distance covered on previous runs.  Create a login name and password to save runs and log your workouts if you want.

  • Indiana Runner:  High school results and rankings from around the state.  Also has training blogs of a number of high school athletes from around Indiana and message boards with topics related to high school running.

  • Magnificent 7 Race Series: local road races from Monroe and the surrounding counties.  Series points are tracked and many of thes races are for charitable causes.  Support some good causes and get a good challenge for yourself.
